The INKEY List UK Refunds: Direct Orders and Damaged Skincare

First identify the seller and the actual issue

The INKEY List’s UK terms provide a route for goods reported as damaged, misdescribed or otherwise problematic; they do not promise that every opened skincare product qualifies for an ordinary no-questions-asked return. A customer should identify both the seller and the actual problem before requesting a refund. See The INKEY List’s UK guidance on first identify the seller and the actual issue for the original policy wording.

Photographing a leaking or incorrectly supplied product

Locate the direct-site order reference and the product you received. If the item arrived leaking or with the wrong product inside the parcel, photograph the packaging and label and contact The INKEY List through its official order-support channel. Explain whether you want the company to review an incorrect delivery or an unwanted product, since the information it asks for may differ.

A Boots receipt versus a direct-site order

The seller named on the receipt matters. A product purchased from Boots belongs to Boots’s sales record, while an order placed directly on The INKEY List website uses the brand’s own order details. Do not send an item to an address found on a generic parcel label without authorisation from the business handling the return.

Imagine a boxed serum arrives with the glass bottle cracked, but the shipping carton is intact. Retain both and supply clear photos; the point is to show exactly what was delivered. If you simply dislike an already-opened formula, check the direct-site terms for that situation instead of selecting a false damage reason.

If the receipt is actually from Boots, use the retailer’s own order and returns instructions rather than creating a direct-brand web return.

Following an authorised refund or replacement

When customer services accepts a return, the official terms describe the refund or replacement process. Keep the approval and dispatch proof until a response has been received, and use the brand’s support page for a delayed case.
