Cancel MyFitnessPal Premium UK: Website, Apple and Google Billing
If a MyFitnessPal Premium charge appears on a UK bank statement, the subscription may have been bought through the website, an iPhone or Google Play. That distinction decides which billing screen can stop the next renewal; uninstalling the fitness app is not a cancellation method.
Find who billed you first
MyFitnessPal’s current subscription help says recurring renewal must be cancelled on the platform where you originally purchased Premium. Inspect your Apple purchase history, Google Play subscriptions and MyFitnessPal web account before changing anything. If Apple issued the receipt, the help page says Apple controls that subscription and any associated refund request. A web subscription is not normally visible under iPhone Settings subscriptions merely because you use MyFitnessPal on an iPhone.
Turn off renewal before the next billing date
The company says renewal can be cancelled at any time, but advises that cancellations made less than 24 hours before the next renewal may still allow a charge. Follow the appropriate website, iOS or Android instructions in its official guide, then check for confirmation and the updated renewal status. Record the expiry date shown. A failed attempt on a different platform does not establish that the original subscription has stopped; use the receipt to locate and manage the correct billing channel.
What remains after cancelling?
MyFitnessPal explains that cancelling auto-renewal stops the next recurring payment rather than immediately ending access: Premium features normally remain until the existing paid period expires. A request for a refund of a recent charge is a separate matter from turning off renewal. If a charge is disputed, collect the invoice date and platform confirmation and contact the party that took payment. Avoid deleting the account until you have confirmed that any paid renewal has been disabled.
Common question
Will deleting the app stop the MyFitnessPal Premium payment?
No. MyFitnessPal instructs customers to cancel on the original purchase platform, before the upcoming renewal.
How this could work
For example, a person subscribes via Apple during a trial but later signs in to MyFitnessPal on a laptop. Turning off renewal only in an unrelated web account will not end the Apple purchase. The user should check the App Store subscriptions list and keep the cancellation confirmation until the renewal date passes.
