Cancel Grammarly UK: Web Billing, App Store and Refund Requests
Grammarly’s cancellation button stops renewal of the paid plan; it does not necessarily end paid access at the same moment or create a refund. The most useful first check is which account and payment platform actually hold your subscription.
Who charges for Grammarly?
For a directly billed subscription, Grammarly instructs members to open Account → Your account → Subscription, choose Cancel Subscription, continue and confirm. Its current help says paid features ordinarily remain available until the paid period ends. Purchases made through Apple’s App Store follow Apple’s cancellation route. Grammarly’s refund help says refunds are issued where required by law, rather than promising a refund each time someone switches to the free plan.
Stopping a website-billed plan
Check the renewal confirmation or payment receipt. Sign in to the charged account, open the subscription screen and complete every confirmation step; leaving a cancellation survey midway is not the same as finishing the request. Save the cancellation receipt and note the date shown for the end of paid features. If the button is missing, check whether you signed in using a different email address or purchased through an app store.
If your subscription came through an app store
Imagine buying the annual plan through a desktop browser and using Grammarly mainly on your phone. Deleting the mobile keyboard does not change the web purchase. If Apple billed you instead, looking for the direct-plan cancellation button in the Grammarly account can be the wrong route.
Separating cancellation from a refund request
If you are querying an unexpected charge, supply support with the subscription account and receipt rather than assuming cancellation alone reverses it. The official refund and cancellation help pages answer different questions. Other software plans, such as Adobe subscriptions, have their own renewal and refund conditions; one company’s cancellation confirmation does not affect another paid account.
