Cancel Calm UK: Free Trials, Website Plans and App Store Subscriptions
Calm says the route for stopping renewal depends on where the membership was purchased. A Calm website plan uses Calm account settings, while an Apple or Google Play membership is controlled through the relevant app store. An annual charge can continue to exist even if the Calm app is removed from your phone. The Calm published store policy gives the conditions for the transaction described here.
Web subscription or mobile-store purchase?
Find the confirmation email and sign in to the account used for the purchase. Follow Calm’s web instructions only if Calm billed you directly; otherwise open the subscription list for the store account named on the invoice. Confirm the cancellation and record the end of the current plan or trial shown on screen.
The app appears on two devices
Example: For example, Calm appears on both your phone and tablet, but the paid subscription is missing from the phone’s Play Store. Check the tablet’s Apple subscriptions or the Calm web account that originally billed you instead of opening a second subscription to gain access to its cancellation button.
A free trial is not a paid refund
The deadline for stopping a free trial should be checked before the trial converts to paid access. Calm’s support material distinguishes cancellation from refund eligibility, and refund enquiries may need to go to Apple or Google if one of those companies took payment. Do not infer a refund merely from a screen saying the plan is cancelled.
For an unfamiliar charge, compare the date and merchant description with your emails and account settings. The official Calm support centre explains how to contact the appropriate team if the plan cannot be located. The Calm contact page explains the available help route.
Before ending Calm, identify who actually renews the plan and note the renewal date shown there. For another subscription where access can continue after cancellation, compare our Netflix cancellation guide.
