Oak Furnitureland Returns: Delivery Cancellation and Collection Fees

Changing your mind before delivery is time-sensitive

Oak Furnitureland’s published sales terms say it can cancel an order without a cancellation fee where it receives at least three full working days’ notice before delivery. A change requested later, on the delivery date, or because a large item will not fit can involve charges under the contract. Check the booked delivery date and contact the retailer promptly with the order reference rather than waiting for the driver.

There is a separate post-delivery cancellation period

Its terms describe a 14-day consumer cancellation period after delivery for eligible products. Notify Oak Furnitureland within that period and follow its instructions for returning the product; where the furniture has arrived, the stated terms ask for return within 14 days after giving notice. Protect the item with its original packaging where possible or suitable replacement materials, as poor packaging can cause damage and a deduction or extra repacking cost.

A fault or incorrect description needs a different conversation

A table delivered with the wrong finish is not simply an unwanted table. Photograph the finish, invoice, packaging and any damage before arranging collection and tell the retailer why it is being returned. Its voluntary cancellation fees should not be assumed to define every remedy for faulty or misdescribed goods; the terms distinguish legal rights and contractual return conditions.

Suppose a wardrobe is due Friday and you discover on Thursday it will not fit the staircase. Contact Oak Furnitureland immediately; do not rely on the fee-free three-working-day rule if the required notice has passed. Keep written evidence of the revised arrangement.

A homeware item purchased from IKEA is covered by IKEA’s separate order and returns procedure, regardless of how similar the product type may be.
