Harvey Nichols UK Returns: Online Parcels, Partner Orders and Store Credit
Harvey Nichols treats an online parcel differently from a purchase made at one of its shops. Even a click-and-collect order belongs to the online returns route, so taking the bag back to a shop counter may not complete the return.
What the company says
For eligible direct online orders, Harvey Nichols publishes a 28-day return period and an online return charge starting at £4.99. The item should be unworn and resalable, with its tags and original packaging. A Brand Partner parcel can have separate instructions. Its published in-store unwanted-item policy instead offers an exchange or credit note within its stated 28-day period. Read the official Harvey Nichols policy or help page for the company’s own wording and any product-specific changes.
Before you send anything
Find the order reference and checkout email, open the retailer’s Start a Return portal and generate the correct label for that order. Keep separate online orders in separate return parcels. Check whether the item came from a Brand Partner before arranging a collection, as the standard portal may not be the right destination.
If the receipt instead names John Lewis, its separate guide explains the return route for that retailer.
A situation that changes the route
Imagine ordering two dresses in separate online transactions and collecting one in Knightsbridge. Neither the shared collection trip nor the matching brand makes those two orders one return: follow the order-specific route and keep both return references.
For an incorrect or damaged item, use the customer-service route shown on the retailer’s help page and describe the order issue rather than purchasing a standard change-of-mind return label.
