Whistles Returns UK: 28 Days, Sale Deadlines and £1.95 Postage

Whistles uses two important return deadlines: many full-price items have a 28-day return period, while sale items generally need to be returned within 14 days. The cheapest route is usually a qualifying Whistles standalone store, because the retailer describes those returns as free; postal returns carry a £1.95 charge deducted from the refund.

Full-price and sale purchases do not share the same deadline

For an ordinary full-price purchase, count the return period carefully from receipt. Sale merchandise has a shorter published window, so a shopper who assumes every Whistles purchase gets 28 days can easily miss the deadline. Items should be unused and in resellable condition, with original packaging where possible and any required labels still attached.

Standalone stores versus concessions

Eligible online purchases can be taken to a Whistles standalone shop with the dispatch note or other accepted proof of purchase. The policy says this service is not available at concessions, factory outlets or certain other locations. Wedding dresses are a special case and are directed back to the warehouse rather than the normal store-return route.

For a postal return, use the supplied label and keep the proof of posting until the refund has been completed. Whistles says the £1.95 postal-return charge is taken from the final refund. A Royal Mail collection may be arranged, but using collection does not remove that return fee.

Some goods have additional restrictions

Pierced earrings, gift cards and other excluded or hygiene-sensitive products are not treated like an ordinary unworn dress or jacket. The retailer also warns that removing certain “Do Not Remove” labels can invalidate a return. Faulty, incorrect or damaged items are handled separately and the published guidance says those returns are not subject to the normal return charge.

What if you want another size?

Postal exchanges are not offered as a standard option. If the size is wrong, the straightforward approach is to return the unwanted item for a refund and place a fresh order. In-store options can differ, so check what the shop can do before travelling.

Refund timing

Whistles asks customers to allow time for a return to reach and be processed by the warehouse, followed by the bank’s own posting time. For the current deadlines, exclusions and routes, use the official Whistles returns policy and the retailer’s returns FAQs.
