Protein Works Returns: 180 Days, Flavour Swaps and Store Credit

The advertised period has an earlier notification step

The retailer’s UK page describes a 180-day returns arrangement for direct website purchases, with notification that you wish to return the product within 90 days. Its terms say the extended goodwill programme provides store credit for eligible unopened items and that return postage is ordinarily the customer’s responsibility. That is not a promise of a cash refund 180 days after every purchase. Keep the order number, seal intact and contact the customer-service route before posting a return.

Flavour dissatisfaction has its own remedy

Protein Works offers a flavour exchange for a product you dislike, subject to a limit of one alternative flavour exchange per order. The returns page says a taste complaint does not qualify for a normal cash refund and describes points or credit for certain opened-product situations. The current policy and terms contain different descriptions of the precise goodwill and statutory cancellation routes, so ask the team to confirm which is being applied to the specific order rather than treating credit and repayment to the original card as synonyms.

The Protein Works advertises a long goodwill returns window, but the outcome depends on whether the product is unopened, whether you want to change flavour and which type of credit or refund you are asking for. Check the actual direct-order conditions before opening another tub.

Missing, wrong or damaged goods

The company asks customers with defective or transit-damaged products to contact its team with the order reference and, where relevant, photographs. Its published guidance also provides reporting periods for missing or incorrect deliveries. Before accepting a goodwill credit for a parcel that was not what you ordered, make clear that you are reporting a delivery problem rather than changing your mind about the flavour.

An example with two purchases

A shopper buys two sealed bags and finds one flavour unsuitable after a small taste. The sealed bag might be eligible for the extended goodwill credit route, while the opened bag requires a conversation about the once-per-order flavour exchange; neither automatically creates a cash refund for both.

Compare the UK refund and flavour guidance with the direct-sale terms for the conditions applying to your order.
