Photobox UK Refunds: Personalised Albums and Print Problems
An album printed with your own photographs is not the same as a boxed item bought off the shelf. Photobox’s terms explain that its personalised products do not carry an ordinary change-of-mind cancellation option; an incorrect print, production defect or incomplete order should instead be described through its complaints process.
A personalised album and the saved proof
The published conditions distinguish a customised design that the customer approved from a product that was produced incorrectly or damaged. Photobox asks customers who are unhappy with an order or the service to notify it within 14 days of receipt so it can consider a suitable solution. Its terms also explain that the appearance of printed photographs depends in part on the original images, so a dark or low-resolution upload is not automatically the same issue as a production mistake.
How to report a photo-book fault
Before contacting Photobox, retrieve the order number and open the saved project. Compare the finished book with the order preview, noting the affected page, print size or cover. Photograph the defect and the outer packaging if the parcel itself arrived damaged. Use the company’s customer-service route, not a return address copied from a parcel label, and ask whether photographs or the finished product are needed for review.
If the printed pages do not match your design
A calendar arrives with one month printed twice, although the confirmed project showed the correct dates. Point support to both the confirmation and the incorrect pages. If a photograph was already cropped in the preview before you bought the calendar, report that fact accurately; the company will need to know whether the image changed during production.
What Photobox may ask you to keep
Photobox says the handling of a complaint depends on what was supplied and what went wrong. Keep the project and original order available until support confirms whether it requires a reprint, return or another solution. A photo card ordered through Moonpig is a separate personalised-gift purchase with its own order support; a Photobox album reference will not open a return at Moonpig.
