Three UK Returns: 14-Day Devices, 30-Day Broadband and Prepaid Returns

Three’s return policy is not one single deadline for every product. For many mobile devices and standard plans bought directly from Three, the cooling-off period is 14 days. Consumer Home Broadband has a longer 30-day money-back period under the provider’s published policy. Three also separates parts of its terms by the date a customer joined, so the section that applies to your agreement matters.

Mobile devices: keep the package complete

If you decide a new phone or other device is not for you during the applicable cooling-off period, contact Three rather than posting it back without instructions. The provider describes an “as new” standard for a change-of-mind return. That means protecting the handset, returning the supplied accessories and avoiding damage that could affect the value of the device.

Three can arrange a prepaid return method after the return is accepted. Following that route is safer than choosing an address independently because it gives you the current label or envelope instructions and a traceable process tied to your account.

Home Broadband gets a different window

The published policy gives eligible consumer Home Broadband customers 30 days rather than the shorter mobile cooling-off period. Return the router and associated equipment as instructed. If you have already activated or used a service, charges for the period of use can be separate from the question of whether the equipment itself is returned.

Purchases from another shop

A phone carrying the Three network name may have been bought from a third-party retailer. Three expressly directs those customers back to the retailer that sold the product. This distinction is especially important for bundled deals where the network service and the handset sale may not have been made by the same business.

Faults are also different from a change of mind. If a device has developed a problem, explain the fault when contacting Three so the provider can direct you to the appropriate repair, replacement or other remedy rather than logging it as an unwanted item.

Use Three’s official returns and exchange policy and select the terms that match when you joined before sending equipment back.
