Cancel Uber One UK: Renewal Timing, Benefits and Refund Queries
Uber One is a recurring membership, not the same purchase as an individual Uber Eats delivery. If you are trying to prevent another membership charge, check the membership renewal date and complete the cancellation confirmation in the account that actually holds the subscription.
Find the subscription in your account
Uber’s UK help page directs members to open their Uber account, choose Uber One, select Manage Membership and then End Membership, following the prompts. It advises cancelling at least 48 hours before the next billing day or contacting support if you are closer to renewal. Do not confuse deleting the Uber app or removing a payment card with ending the paid membership. Check the confirmation screen and subsequent membership status after taking action.
When do the benefits stop?
For an ordinary paid membership, Uber says benefits usually continue until the current billing period ends after cancellation. An Uber One free trial can end its benefits on cancellation instead. Make a note of whether you are in a trial or a paid cycle before changing the plan, and keep the email or screen showing the next billing date. The Uber One membership process does not automatically refund unrelated restaurant orders or rides.

Uber’s UK support information has a separate route for customers who say they joined accidentally and mentions cancellation windows for monthly and annual membership purchases. It says refund decisions depend on the terms, applicable consumer rights and eligibility. Use the in-app Help section to ask about the specific charge instead of assuming that turning off renewal always reverses the fee that has already been taken.
A practical example
A customer ends a paid Uber One plan two days before their next billing date but still sees discounted delivery on their account for a short time. That can reflect benefits continuing through the paid period; check the renewal status rather than cancelling the same plan repeatedly.
