Just Eat UK Order Problems: Missing Food, Damage and Help Window
Just Eat’s route for an unsatisfactory delivery starts from the specific order, not a generic restaurant feedback page. If your food arrived damaged, cold or incorrect, the order screen is the place to identify the issue while the details are fresh.
Official information: Just Eat policy and instructions; related official help or terms.
Open the correct Just Eat order
Open the delivered order and choose Get help, then select the relevant order-problem option. Just Eat’s UK support says it gives up to 24 hours to submit a claim about a completed unsatisfactory order and asks for clear photographs where damage is being reported. That support window should not be presented as a ruling on any separate legal right.
What changes when the item is wrong
For a collection order, the company advises checking the contents at the restaurant or shop and raising problems with staff promptly. Its order-change help also warns that once a restaurant has accepted an order, amendments or cancellation are not always possible because preparation or courier assignment may already have started.
Reporting a cold or incomplete meal
If you ordered two burgers and received one, photograph the package and check the itemised receipt before choosing the missing-item route. If you collected the meal yourself and spotted the mistake at the counter, use the collection guidance instead of marking it as a failed courier delivery.
Contact support through the purchase
Save the order ID and any support acknowledgement. An order placed on the restaurant’s own website will not necessarily be visible in Just Eat’s account history, even if the restaurant also appears on the platform.
Deliveroo uses its own order-help interface, explained in our Deliveroo UK refund guide; those instructions are not a substitute for Just Eat’s support screen.
