Parcel2Go Refunds: Cancel an Unused Parcel Booking
Bought a parcel label through Parcel2Go but no longer need to send the package? The relevant question is whether the booking has been collected or used. Cancelling a carrier collection and asking for a refund are also different from rescheduling a collection that you still need. Your P2G reference and the order date will help identify which procedure is available.
The conditions for an unused booking
Parcel2Go’s official cancellation and refund guide lists three conditions for a routine refund request: the requester is the contract holder, the service was booked within the preceding 28 days and the parcel has not been collected. Those conditions concern this service’s published booking-refund process. A parcel already on the way is not an unused label, and a parcel bought through another marketplace may have a different seller.
Decide whether you still need the delivery
If you only need a later collection, Parcel2Go offers a rebooking route rather than requiring a cancellation. The company asks for the P2G reference and either the email address used for the order or the collection postcode when rebooking. Make sure the parcel has not been collected under the existing reference before booking another label. Where a service is already in transit, use tracking and the relevant service-help page instead of treating it as an unused booking.
What to check after requesting a refund
Open the relevant parcel order and follow the official refund option. Keep the reference and confirmation of the request. Check which payment method was used and whether the booking contained any separate extras or cover. An acknowledgement that your refund request has been received is not necessarily a confirmation that the original amount has already been returned. Avoid buying a replacement label until you know whether the first one remains valid or has been cancelled.
Whose contract is it?
The person sending the parcel may not be the person who bought the shipping service. Parcel2Go explicitly refers to the contract holder in its refund conditions. If a retailer supplied you with a prepaid return label, the retailer’s returns process usually provides the relevant instructions for that label; a shopper should not assume they can obtain a separate Parcel2Go refund for postage they never purchased. Check the name and seller on the order receipt before submitting any request.
A practical example
You arranged collection for a parcel you planned to sell, then the buyer cancels before the parcel is handed over. If the label is still unused, check your order date and open Parcel2Go’s refund flow. If the buyer merely asks for dispatch a day later, examine the rebooking option instead. These are different actions, and using both can leave you with conflicting collection instructions.
Official help and checking your details
Use the refund and rebooking controls on Parcel2Go’s own Help Centre, and provide the P2G reference and the transaction email through the secure form. For a tracked parcel that is missing or damaged, use its parcel-problem guidance rather than an unused-postage cancellation form. This article does not determine transport compensation, insurance cover or a retailer’s separate obligation to its customer.
