Shark's UK support page extends the ordinary cooling-off idea to a 30-day period for direct purchases. The process still begins with contacting the company and getting return instructions; parts and accessories can have different cost arrangements from a full machine.
The return window in practice
Shark says customers can cancel a direct purchase within 30 days after receiving the product under its published returns policy. Customers are asked to contact Customer Service to give notice of cancellation.
These points come from Shark’s Shark official UK guidance. Returned products should be sent back in the same condition in which they were received.
Evidence worth keeping
- Do not ship a machine before obtaining the current support instructions for the order.
- A faulty or mis-described product has a different cost position from an unwanted accessory.
- Keep all components together and record the return authorisation before handing a machine to a carrier.
- The policy says the product price and eligible standard delivery cost are refunded under the stated cancellation conditions.
A realistic example
You ordered a vacuum directly from Shark but decide it is unsuitable before significant use. Contact support within the published period and follow the return instructions they issue. If the vacuum instead arrived damaged, make that clear because the support route and return costs can differ.
For a Shark appliance bought from Currys, our Currys returns guide covers the seller’s separate returns procedure.
Store, post or collection?
Return costs for parts and accessories can remain the customer's responsibility when the return is simply a change of mind. Keep all components together and record the return authorisation before handing a machine to a carrier.
If you still need help
Use Shark's official returns support article and Customer Service. Keep the case reference, carrier receipt and any collection booking until the refund is complete.
