NordVPN’s money-back promise applies to an eligible first purchase, not automatically to every renewal. The payment channel matters as much as the date: a direct Nord Account transaction and an app-store transaction can have different cancellation and refund routes.
The first-purchase refund promise
NordVPN’s official support page describes a 30-day money-back guarantee for new subscriptions purchased directly under its qualifying conditions. It says that a renewal is not covered by the same initial-purchase promise unless another applicable rule provides otherwise. Its refund flow uses customer-support live chat and account verification, and billing history shows whether a refund is requested, processing or marked refunded.
Cancelling NordVPN through the correct seller
Find the invoice for the first payment or renewal and identify who billed you. For a direct qualifying purchase, open NordVPN’s official refund-help article, use the linked support chat and follow its account-verification steps. To stop future renewal separately, check the Nord Account subscription settings. For an app-store purchase, read the applicable store instructions rather than assuming the direct NordVPN guarantee will be applied by the store.
Renewal charges versus the original subscription
If you started a one-year plan more than a month ago but were charged again for a renewal yesterday, the initial 30-day guarantee is not a new 30-day period beginning with the second invoice. Conversely, an eligible first-time purchase made recently should be assessed against the initial date, not the date you installed the application on a second device.
Checking the refund status
Keep the support reference and billing-history status. NordVPN says a refund marked processed may take additional bank time; its official page explains when to use support if the credited amount has not appeared. A separate charge for Adobe must be managed through Adobe’s account; stopping NordVPN renewal does not stop other software subscriptions.
