KFC UK Wrong Orders: App Purchases Versus Delivery Partners

The KFC logo on the bag does not always identify who took your payment. If you ordered through a delivery app, the service handling a missing side or incorrect meal can differ from the route for a KFC app order or an in-store purchase.

Who handled the KFC order

KFC’s UK help directs customers who ordered through Deliveroo, Uber Eats or Just Eat to the delivery partner’s app for wrong-item refund requests. For an in-store purchase or an order placed directly through the KFC app, the restaurant team or KFC’s Care Squad is the relevant published support route.

Read the KFC official guidance alongside the relevant help or terms for the purchase you actually made.

Wrong items and third-party delivery

The company gives separate instructions if you chose the wrong restaurant for a collection order: its help distinguishes orders that have not been checked in from those on which preparation has begun. It warns that a pending bank transaction can remain visible until a cancelled authorisation is released, so compare the app’s actual order status before assuming a second charge has been taken.

An app order at the wrong restaurant

If your KFC app says the collect order was cancelled before check-in, check its order status and the pending-payment details. If the restaurant handed you the wrong meal, keep the receipt and contact the original restaurant or KFC’s official help instead of opening an unrelated delivery-platform case.

Keep the order details private

For app orders, keep the order number and any photo or receipt relevant to the mistake. Do not post payment-card details in public comments; use the official Care Squad form or the order-specific telephone contact offered in the KFC app.

If your receipt came from Deliveroo, our Deliveroo UK refund guide explains how that separate app handles missing and wrong orders.
