The online deadline is a two-stage process
For online and Click & Collect change-of-mind orders, Homebase asks you to notify it within 14 days of receipt and then return the item or arrange collection within a further 14 days. It states that eligible in-store purchases have a 14-day return window. Goods should be unused and resaleable; installed products, made-to-measure goods, perishable plants and certain unsealed hygiene items have different treatment. Check the receipt rather than assuming the same shop and web deadlines apply.
The name on your Homebase order is not enough to determine its return destination. Homebase distinguishes goods dispatched by its own operation from products sent directly by a supplier, and its help page has separate instructions for purchases made before its January 2025 relaunch.
Look for the shipper on the confirmation
An item dispatched directly by homebase.co.uk can usually be taken to The Range or wilko within the eligible window with the order confirmation, or you can contact customer services to arrange a label or collection. Supplier-dispatched products cannot be returned to a shop: contact the team with your 12-digit order number for the relevant supplier procedure. Homebase lists a £50 collection charge for unwanted kitchens supplied through its supplier route; do not assume that figure applies to other bulky products.
Old Homebase orders and faulty goods
Homebase states that orders placed before 21 January 2025 belong to the former operation and directs customers with those purchases towards the administrator rather than its current customer-care channel. If a newer order arrives damaged, notify the team and keep photographs, packaging and the dispatch details. Its help page describes a separate damaged-goods contact route and says statutory rights are unaffected by the ordinary change-of-mind policy.
How this plays out
You bought a boxed drill shipped by Homebase and a bespoke kitchen unit sent from a supplier. The drill may qualify for an authorised shop return, but the kitchen unit needs a supplier-specific request; placing both at a The Range counter would not initiate two valid refunds.
Homebase publishes the return windows, dispatch routes and collection exceptions in its customer-service help pages.
