Cotton Traders accepts many eligible online and telephone orders back at its participating stores without a returns fee. Bring the item unworn, with its packaging and dispatch note or order details. The retailer publishes a list of stores that cannot take some cross-channel returns, so use the current store information before making a special trip.
Evri and Royal Mail deductions are different
Customers using the retailer’s prepaid tracked services can select Evri or Royal Mail through its portal or, where supplied, the parcel paperwork. The official returns page quotes £2.95 for Evri and £3.35 for Royal Mail, deducted from the refund for the selected service. Check the method shown on your own generated label and obtain proof of postage at the correct drop-off location.
Do not treat every returned garment as exchangeable
Cotton Traders describes a 28-day standard period for eligible unworn items. Personalised or altered goods and hygiene-sensitive items can require different handling. Its terms describe a telephone-assisted reorder for an alternative size or colour rather than an online automatic exchange. If you bought from a third-party marketplace, check which business actually sold the item first.
A shirt bought by phone does not fit and the closest Cotton Traders branch has limited returns services. Look up that branch’s eligibility; if it cannot help, use the recorded parcel method on your order rather than arriving with a prepared package it cannot accept.
Check the current Cotton Traders returns choices and its store exceptions and FAQs.
If the item was sold by John Lewis, check that retailer’s purchase-channel rules and proof-of-purchase requirements instead.
