Clarks Returns UK: 28 Days, £2.95 Postal Returns and Exchanges

Clarks gives customers a clear choice between a paid postal return and a free return to many full-price shops. Sale items have a shorter window, and partner products do not go through the same warehouse or store process, so the receipt and seller matter before you choose a route.

Check the seller before acting

Clarks says eligible ordinary goods can be returned within 28 days of receipt, while sale items have a 14-day period. Postal returns currently carry a £2.95 charge deducted from the refund, except where the published faulty-item conditions apply.

These points come from Clarks’s Clarks official UK guidance. Returning an eligible order to a full-price Clarks store is free and can produce an immediate refund.

The detail that changes the route

How this can play out

Your shoes are the wrong size and were bought directly from clarks.com. If a full-price Clarks shop is convenient, a store return can avoid the postal deduction and staff may help with another size. A pair bought through a partner seller must instead follow that partner's instructions.

If the shoes were bought from schuh rather than Clarks directly, our schuh returns guide explains that retailer’s separate policy.

Before you hand anything over

For Clarks, keep the order number or receipt, the exact item name, the purchase or delivery date, and any return or tracking reference. For a store refund, take the card used for the original purchase where the policy asks for it.

Finish through the correct channel

Use the online Returns Portal with the order number and billing postcode, or take eligible goods to a full-price Clarks store with proof of purchase.

Partner-seller items must be returned directly to the fulfilling brand and are not accepted by Clarks stores or its warehouse. For a store refund, take the card used for the original purchase where the policy asks for it.
