Deleting the Music app does not stop an Apple Music subscription. The place to end renewal depends on who issued your receipt: Apple, Google Play or a separate provider can appear as the billing party for subscriptions used on the same phone.
Where Apple Music is billed
Apple’s UK support guidance describes Settings → your name → Subscriptions on iPhone or iPad, where you select Apple Music and use Cancel Subscription if the button is offered. You can also manage Apple-billed subscriptions through Apple’s account tools. For Apple Music billed through Google Play on Android, Apple’s instructions direct you to Google Play instead.
Account and platform differences
If the cancellation control is missing, Apple’s support says to check whether the subscription already shows an expiry message or whether a different Apple Account was used. Search your email for the Apple receipt and check the account listed there; a family member cannot cancel a subscription charged to another person’s Apple Account from their own settings.

Switching from Android to iPhone
Suppose you moved from an Android handset to an iPhone but the charge still appears under a Google Play receipt. Using iPhone Settings may show no Apple Music subscription even though the music plays; first locate the actual billing provider.
Check the renewal confirmation
Keep the cancellation confirmation and the stated expiry date. This guide concerns stopping Apple Music renewal, not automatically obtaining a refund for earlier monthly charges; use the provider’s own refund information for an eligible billing question.
Apple Music and Netflix are separate subscriptions: our Netflix UK cancellation guide explains how a different streaming provider handles direct and partner billing.
