BOXT Installation Cancellation: Booking Dates and Order Changes

Booked a boiler installation through BOXT and need to change the date? Check the actual service and stage of your order before treating it like an unopened product return. A delivery-only item, a survey, an engineer appointment and work already started can have different cancellation arrangements. The confirmation should identify your installation date, order reference, selected product and any separate services.

Read the terms attached to your order

BOXT publishes terms and conditions covering relevant orders and installation arrangements. Confirm the product and service type shown on your invoice; do not assume a general cancellation summary for a boxed item controls work booked at a property. The provider’s notice, scheduling and payment provisions can depend on whether the engineer has attended, materials have been prepared or work has already started. Record the actual stage of the job before sending an instruction.

Changing a fitting date versus cancelling

If you still want the installation but need a different day, ask the company about an amendment rather than automatically cancelling and creating a new order. Check whether the original product, installer availability or quoted price would change. If an engineer appointment is close, use the official support route promptly and ask for acknowledgement of the requested date change. Do not assume a voicemail, an unsubmitted contact form or deleting a calendar event automatically changes a confirmed appointment.

What to ask about any repayment

If you paid for a booking and wish to stop before installation, check the published terms applicable to that specific purchase and request a clear breakdown of any amount BOXT says it will retain or return. Do not calculate an assumed refund simply from the number of days before an engineer visit. Installation services, surveys, delivered materials and optional add-ons may be accounted for differently. Keep the original quotation, payment confirmation and any written rescheduling or cancellation acknowledgement.

Separate product problems from booking administration

If an installed boiler develops a fault, use the applicable installer or manufacturer support procedure rather than an unused-installation cancellation form. Describe what the company supplied and when the work was completed, and check the documents given at handover. A question about an appointment not happening as arranged is likewise different from changing your mind about a future booking. This guide does not provide heating safety instructions or determine whether a financial product or finance agreement may be cancelled.

A practical example

You booked an installation for Thursday, but builders need access to the same room that morning. Find the order confirmation, contact BOXT through its official booking channel and ask about moving the visit. Check any updated price and request written confirmation of the new date before assuming Thursday has been released. If installation work has already begun, explain that fact instead of selecting a simple pre-appointment cancellation description.

Official help and checking your details

Use the official {a(‘https://www.boxt.co.uk/’,’BOXT website’)} and contact details shown on the current order confirmation for the appropriate team. Have the order number, installation date, product and details of any work already carried out. Ask support to confirm the status and any resulting payment adjustment. Do not share card details publicly, and do not use this article to decide a credit agreement or individual legal claim.
