A small fleece and a large family tent bought at Blacks may have very different return logistics. The company’s portal cannot handle certain bulky or restricted items, even when the product itself is eligible for a return.
How the rules apply to this purchase
Blacks’ current returns policy describes a 28-day voluntary period for eligible purchases. It directs ordinary online parcels to a return portal with Evri or Royal Mail options, with a stated postage charge starting at £2. A refurbished product has its own 14-day online change-of-mind period; for large tents or some bike returns, the store route is more appropriate. The official Blacks UK policy and help page contains the current wording for this purchase route.
Arranging the return
Check whether your product is listed among restricted items before generating a parcel label. Blacks says large tents can be returned to permitted Blacks, Millets or GO Outdoors locations; bikes require a shop with a servicing department. For gas and other restricted products, follow the specific in-store instructions rather than sending them through normal post.
An item bought directly at GO Outdoors should follow its own seller’s instructions; see our GO Outdoors UK guide.
A detail that can change the route
If you need to return a tent after checking its packed dimensions, ensure the chosen shop can accept it and keep any dispatch note. Mailing it through an ordinary small-parcel option could create handling and tracking problems.
Refund questions and support
If the item is faulty, use Blacks’ official care channel and explain the defect. A defect report is different from a non-faulty camping product returned after an ordinary change of mind.
